i just noticed your post. i am from portland, oregon. so count me in also. i had posted a message on the orgon state chapter a while ago and have not had a single response yet. Inspite of the large numbers of members in seattle and portland areas, i too am sad to this kind of inactivity and non-response.

Has anyone heard of cases where immigration lawyers have successfully petitioned on behalf of parents of a US baby (way before the age of 18) to become GC holders or citizens?

hi, can the spouse travel outside after applying for I-485 but before getting the AP? Suppose during her stay abroad if the primary applicant's GC is approved? Her H4 will not be valid in that case. but can she use the visa waiver to gain entry back into the country? Will the receipt of I-485 help in anyway? thanx.

It dosent matter if you are on H1; because as long as you have your H1 job then it is just investments you are doing. Just out of curiosity; are you a technical/chart guy or do you use quantitative techniques?
y not ask SEC or NASDAQ to file for your h1..... that should take care of things..... if u r making 10 trades in a day ..... during day time..... then u r actually not working in u'r real job..... y not have h1 for the job that u r really doing...... just trying to help by suggesting a way out.....

being current means nothing, belive me, I filed 485 in March 2004 when everything was current for almost an year, we need IV reform the system to better work for Highly skilled professionals,
I know in coming months many of us might get GC, including many in IV-core team, but I would like to IV go further after getting GC to continue their effort to put a closure by passing SKILL as a law which is our goal

I started the new thread and poll "Separate bill for legal immigrants from CIR provisions", with the intention to help realise and pursue what appeard to me as a option/opportunity that might help us legal immigrants. It just seems to me from media and other forums that cir may take a long long time.
I donot have complete knowledge of the process and timing of how legislation and lobbying works. Educating myself from aritles and posts on this and similar forums.
It has been almost 5 years since I started my gc process and am really looking for ways that might make it faster for people like me and future applicants going forward and I really appreciate what IV is doing in this direction.
I apologize if my poll, thread or intentions came across as anything but the above. Also, I will change my username, it has "iv" and may have lead others to interpret my messages as from IV.

My friend got into this situation.
He had EB2 Labor approved with PD 08/2005 and I140 approved.. He is in final six months of his H1.
Now, interestingly his EB3 labor from Previous employer was just approved. However, he is no more working with them. But could convince them to file I140 for the apprvoed EB3 (which is PD 09/2003). and would like to Port the PD to his current EB2 with his present employer.
Did any oone of you experienced this and if so, can you please share your experience..
What are the Dos and Donts for this case.. Appreciate your replies.

Because I am on H1 with consultant, but not able to find projects for last 6 months, and have a offer for a full-time position with very small start-up company? Should I put my legs in this transfer process ? or should I wait untill USCIS gets soften?

You can import PDF-compatible Adobe Illustrator files (.ai) directly into an open document in your Microsoft Expression Blend project.
When you import an Illustrator file into Expression Blend, Illustrator layers, groups, and objects are converted to Expression Blend containers and objects with associated properties. Understanding how Illustrator objects are imported into Expression Blend will help you integrate Illustrator files into your Expression Blend projects more quickly and efficiently.
When you save your file in Illustrator, make sure that the Create PDF Compatible File check box is selected in the Illustrator Options dialog box. Otherwise, you will not be able to import your Illustrator files into Expression Blend.

Hi Dazed, thanks for your response. I checked the filing instructions on 485 form and it does not mention I 134 form any where. I did not file this form since my lawyer never asked me to do so.
Do you or anyone in this forum know, what happens to the application in that case, RFE, etc?

Is it BA with Mathematics (honors) or BSC. in Mathematics (honors). or does it say General?
If you are asking about Labor petition It said Mathematics or related feild
if you are my qualification it is BSc with Mathematics. but my trascripts say maths1,maths2, maths3, maths4 as supposed to Mathematics1,Mathematics2,Mathematics3,Mathematics 4.
which made the difference.
but provisional said Mathematics, so adjudicator got confused.

Well said guys.....I do not know why this thing hangs around me with me having EAD. EAD is just like GC with some restrictions. Why should I worry?

BKarnik is partially correct, I got a H1 extension for 3 years after my I-140 approval but my lawyers had to specifically call USCIS' attention to the approved I-140. It is possible that your lawyers did a good job of putting together the H1 application so USCIS was aware of your GC application and cross checked and gave you a 3 year extension based on the approved I-140.
