My husband received CPO mail on 08/04, welcome mail on 08/05, soft LUD on 08/06 and approval notice sent mail on 08/09 but dated 08/08 in USCIS status. Hoping to have the GC in hand next week.
Anyone who has the same chain of events or received GC for CPO mail on 08/04 or later?

Even a credit card bill takes about a week to reach you ! You will definitely get his card next week, i'm sure you and child will also get approvals soon. At least there is movement on your family's case.

That may be so but the number of those who choose to stay/would rather stay is overwhelming compared to those who don't ;)
I agree. Most people are risk averse & the decision to go back is a tough one. However, more people are considering that option now than ever before. And the ones that I know have gone back are pretty happy with their decision.

He introduced the bill because he knows the problem very well. So we don't really need to flood him to push him (to thank him makes sense). The focus should be try to get other Senators onboard.

If Labor Certification and I-140 Approval Notices are a property of the Employer, how the "Beneficiary" is supposed to invoke 'AC-21' for changing jobs in the future without having the approval notices? - My employer has a policy of NOT giving out approval notices of LC and I-140.
for AC-21 (if you choose to inform USCIS: its recommended, but some people dont do it) you only need to provide a letter explaining you are porting, and include a copy of your new employers offer letter. You provide receipt number of your 485. I-140/LC copies not needed. If you are trying to port after 6 years of H1, and need to extend H1 with new employer, thats when you need copy of I-140 approval notice or LC. If your employer does not provide it, I think you will be forced to use AC-21 with EAD in that case.

Folks who opened an SR and had NSC-CSC-NSC transfers, what is the format of the ref # the Cust Service Rep gave you??
I got a # of the format T1NXXXXXXXXXXXCSC format.
I also got this format. but response, came from NSC after 30 days of filing SR.
I had called in the middle to confirm whether SR went to CSC. Rep said requests will get to apprpriate service center.
the other problem is for people like us, the status says " case traansferred and pending at uscis office". I find that reps find it hard to figure out where it is pending. because of wac number, they sometimes conclude it is CSC.
the status on phone says "pending at lincoln".

well, really I dont have words to express what frustration means, so be it. my PD is Nov 2003 (original Labor) and filed 485 in June 2004 and have 7 EAD cards thus far.
Started to work on EAD since 2005.
This is my 11th year in this country, never tried to do labor substitution always was and is a legal and law abiding since I came to this country on H1, despite changing jobs been as a developer since then - till now.
This GC process got me grey very soon, unsure if I become bald. This is the state of legal immigration in this country, God bless.

I am sorry SunnySurya but this issue DOES concern me. If everyone starts asking the IV core for their time just for their own issues, what about the rest of the community?
If you expect the IV core to dedicate it's time JUST for a particular secction of people, then you need to justify that demand.
In your opinion, EB3 is a LOWLY category as compared to EB2. So it is not enough that Nurses feed from it and just about EVERYONE else feeds from it. To top it off, overflow from eb1 goes FIRST to eb2 and then (and almost NEVER) to eb3. SO Eb2 gets a fair chunk of the greed cards, and over and above that you now want the IV core to further drop everything else and help JUST eb2 out? And who should make this demand? None other than someone who is trying to BREAK the community up into Eb2 vs Eb3.

Will surely attend the rally with my wife on July14th.
Just a thought..Why not request all our GC/citizen friends to also attend?

Hasnt the issue of processing order been beaten to death?
I understand the momentum here....not trying to rain on a parade or anything...but shouldnt we be a little practical. How long is litigation going to take? Wont only naive lawyers even take this up?
USCIS can always pull the security reason trump card here.
moreover, during the last quarter...in the effort to not waste visas, low hanging easy to approve cases with later priority dates have gotten approved. wudnt u rather have that than visas going waste?
We have been patient for a very long time....lets see how the dates move in the 1st 2 quarters of fiscal 09.
My personal suggestion....stop worrying aout GC...there are much bigger things in life to worry about. :)
What do we have to lose here by this effort:
1) $100 or so
2) A few hrs of effort in mobilising and motivating people
What do we have to gain:
1) A sense of unity if we can get anywhere close to 1000 supporters
2) A chance to win against years of injustice and broken system.
Comparing both...I'm definitely in.
Also, we will leave it to the Lawyers to make the case..we all know it is a broken system and loopholes in it definitely will form a case. However, all that are talks up in the air if we cannot have 1000 people support this. First and foremost, we have to create a sound force. Only then we can talk about a future step. With a thousand pledged supporters and 100 grand behind us, we should not underestimate the force.
